Is the manual gearbox of the altezza 3SGE the same with the Lexus IS200 1GFE?:glare:

But think the bell housings are different on the 3s-ge engine/gearbox??

There are also slight casting differences to the actual box, as we found out when putting the RS200 box onto my car.

They are pretty much the same apart from the bell housing, all the gear ratios are identical. However a manual RS200 'box is rare.

I stand corrected, looking at the parts they are the same boxes (J160) and the same gears, as Phil says, with different bell-housings to mate to the different engines. The bit that plugs into the gearbox to drive the speedo is different too though.

Ok thanks mates. I just wanted to know if the short shifts for the RS200 or other Altezza versions much on the IS200. All of you have covered my question.
