Yep there are companies that add in plug-in ability to allow the batteries to fully charge at home, and some even convert to lithium ion on which the car can run a lot longer on its batteries - however that conversion costs something like 20k so not sure if it's the most efficient thing to do!
I'll have to have a go in one but I can't believe it's that fast, we have the last gen prius and it's not a fast car at all - it's quicker than you'd expect on the 0-30 dash, but beyond that it doesn't have the power and it's lugging too much weight.
the last prius is a snail compaired to the new one mate the new one is a 1.8 and the motor is more powerfull, also their is prius gt racing as well and those things shift....
