hopefully someone can help,i need to know if a manual air con bracket is the same as the auto air con bracket.

i need to know as i had a little accident earlier while changing my aux belts, after sailing through taking the power steering and alternator belts off,i loosened up the a/c pulley bolt and it wouldnt move on its bracket as it had siezed,so after a little heat and a wiggle and a small tap with a block of wood it was moveing a little then CRACK i had only broken the thing off.

heres the pics

and taken off

so i put the other belts on and have left the a/c until i can get hold of the bracket

OOPs - I have an IS200 A/C pump lying around, not the bracket though.

My car is a Manual and looks the same as yours,

Just a hint mate did you remember to loosen the 14mm nut in centre of pulley as well as loosening the tensioner adjusting bolt, as these generally never seize solid enough to snap off, Only a thought

The bracket that holds the a/c compressor ? As you say, the part numbers are the same, so it must be the same part for manual and auto.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
