I fitted my sky+ myself, had normal sky with only one wire from the dish to the box, did it all myself and had same problem with signal, as i accidently moved the dish, just get someone to look at the figures on the tv, whilst you outside moving it about, worked for me, and its been going for a year now

This works with everyone, you can do the same with virgin too - I did it years ago when they lost the sky channels and now have a permanent discount of £25 or something which makes the service surprisingly cheap.
