Left my car with SPC last week to have a look over it and see why it was stuttering at low revs at full throttle. I was kindly given a lift to the airport by Jay in the project car which is currently putting out 330BHP.

On boost the way the car pulls is amazing and it also shows how well the standard car (its running completely standard suspension) can deal with this level of power. Makes me think that they could have made a ISF of the first gen IS using the supra twin turbo motor with no problems. SPC fully admit the 330bhp package is not ready for customer cars as they are still a work in progress. The drivability is not quite there yet e.g: full bore gear changes are very jerky but the are working on it and have changed the dump valve for a recirc one to try and smooth it out for example (which i found out when asking where the awesome wastegate flutter had gone Sad since i test drove it when it was 240 bhp at JAE)

SPC have been great and sorted my problem out - which was the fuel pump. Car was only putting out 190BHP and now is putting out 200BHP - but more importantly there is a 20 FT Lb average torque increase between 1750-4500rpm.

I am very happy with the work and communication (seeing as I was abroad) and the number of before and after dyno sheets they gave me afterwards (the fuelling was shocking pre pump replacement) They even let me off paying for the road test time Smile allowing for the full hour on the dyno i had authorised where they also checked the best FCD setting for the car.

Was hoping to take the project car out for a spin yesterday but was exhausted and just wanted to get home - plus was far too excited to drive my own once id seen the power/torque improvements.

So thanks to Phil, Will and Jay and all the others who worked on my car - hope you guys enjoy the choclates!

Was Supercharged Racing Green IS200 Sport. Now APR Stage 1 Seat Leon Cupra (220 Bhp).

James S I thought a SC would give you 230???? :confused1:

The official figure quoted by TTE was 204 PS, which is 201 bhp.

Glad you've got your car sorted Ed, well done SPC !

yep power at the fly is now 197.8 up from 187.0. I was hoping for a bit more power as I have a cat back exhaust but there is a manifold and cat in the way and it only hits the 0.3 bar boost just as the inlet manifold opens the extra channels: Its running 0.25bar before and 0.28bar after. Either way its only lost about 3bhp from brand new in 9 years which is less than a 2% loss so not annoyed. Thinking about getting a new exhaust manifold though.......... I'll see if i can scan the dyno graphs in later.
