That first one you put up looks interesting, really powerful then is it? Bit more than a Dyson, but definitely interesting!

Lol @ the robot one, my bro's actually got a roomba which is awesome for normal everyday cleaning.

The Rolls Royce is the Kirby but my one was £1200 new I had it for years now and i am not sure i would go out and buy the same thing again as the attachments are not as easy to put on as most hoovers, and to be honest my wife does struggle with using the hoover because of this along with the weight of the machine.

I've never heard of Kirby, but it sounds very similar to the machine we have at the moment - it's a Vorwerk, and if yours is Rolls Royce, ours is the Bentley :tongue_smilie:

It cost around £850 if I remember correctly and is still brilliant at vacuuming carpets. However the problem it has is exactly as you've described, attachments are not as simple to put on and off, but it is ridiculously light so doesn't have the problem yours does.

The other problem is that due to its focus at doing carpets and being light and manoeuvrable, it actually has quite a small motor, and while it uses it very effectively it doesn't have raw ridiculous suction power which you need to clean up after you've done so DIY or anything else that requires a lot of suction.

Hence the plan to get a Dyson as a second hoover for the occasional heavy bit of cleaning. However the point Dean makes is interesting, as this is a problem I've had with bagless hoovers in the past and that is that they require the filters to be cleaned far too often. Is that the case with Dyson as well then?

Gord new dyson fan Sad
http://www.dyson.co.uk/fans/

I saw that fan and think it looks awesome, really want to see one in a shop to see how it works Smile

Got the dyson at the weekend btw and all seems well, the suction is unbelievable, in fact it really needs a variable power knob as you physically can't move it over some silk rugs we have.......

I think Dyson are way over-priced and tend to make way too much in the way of their claims of efficiency etc. e.g this hand dryer from Dyson is used at my local hospital and I think it's absolutely rubbish, would much rather use one of the more "normal" versions !

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
