I use safari mate, on my mac, and on my old PC. found it was fastest and never crashed at all. but chrome is also good, if you just want basic web browsing
You must have automatic updates turned on. I have my system set to just tell me when there are updates, so I can better control when I install them.

I use chrome too - what do you mean basic web browsing oli? Haven't come across anything I can't do with chrome yet?
Fire fox all the way
Firefox here. Not had a single problem with it. Its perfect, doesnt affect any download speeds and web pages appear just as quick. Easy to keep favourites and options etc are so much easier.
Chrome, but i have firefox as well but it started crashing so jumped ship
Firefox - however it too has started to crash a bit more often. The whole PC freezes abd then start again after exactly 30 seconds, very strange and only with FF open.
