25-01-2017, 02:25 AM #1i cleaned the car yesterday and found 2 stone chips on the roof of the car they are only tiny but whats the best way to get them sorted??

How bad are they? Can they be touched in using a touch up pen?

steve i was surprised to see them rusted up so quick but thats the way they have gone
will it be covered under bodywork warrenty or whatever it is??

25-01-2017, 03:11 AM #5ok so not the greatest pics on a sunny day of orangy rust spots on a red car but you can kind of get the idea they are no bigger than a few millimeters in diameter but i know they are there now and i want them away lol.

25-01-2017, 03:22 AM #7How old is the car ? The paintwork warranty for chips and stuff is a lot less than the anti-perforation warranty, in terms of duration. For the latter, the rust has to be coming from the inside.

25-01-2017, 03:44 AM #10I haven't re-read the warranty recently, but surely it covers stone chips that cause rust, albeit under a much shorter section of the warranty (i.e. not anti-perforation) ? Or have I got that wrong ?
