sounds like decision made, and from what you've said previous, it's the decision i'd go for, why settle for trading for a 250 now, when a ISF (or M3) is on the cards.

TRD'd, Lowered, 18" Kahn Rep's, K & N, Denso IK20's, 7" JVC DVD & Satnav, Fog 2 Brake, shiney interior bits

It's more that I don't want to really, I like buying cars to last a while so the idea of a "stop gap" car just isn't what I'd normally do. To put it a different way I wouldn't even be thinking about it if this big repair bill hadn't surfaced.

However I think you're all right, I am leaning towards just getting it fixed and keeping it a bit longer - there really is nothing wrong with it and I still love driving it (could use a bit more power but I think everyone would say that!)

Just spoke to Toyota actually and the parts come in at £633, so £570 after discount so now need to speak to Lexus to see what a fully fitted price would be just on the off chance it might be cheaper than what I've been quoted so far.

DJ Wozza I would suggest getting the parts from Lexus, and getting WIM to fit them. The only drawback to that plan is this. If you buy any wrong part, the delay
in gettting your car fixed would then obviously be down to you, where if you leave it to WIM, you are free of any responsability. You just need to weigh
up any saving in your own mind.

I would deffo suggest you stick with what has been a good reliable car, and only change it when you are ultimately ready to change up. Otherwise you
leave yourself open when buiying something similar, and then have the risk regarding your new cars "history". At least with your car, you know exactly
how well it has been treated Smile

Cheers woz, wise words as always - yep that's exactly what I'm thinking, I've had my car from new so know exactly what it's been through, buying a slightly newer but still relatively old car could open up a whole new can of worms.

I'm confident WIM aren't making it up firstly as they're WIM, and secondly that I had one set of warped discs, and then the new ones have now warped after not that many miles. They've stripped it and checked it over and found that the flanges are warped (apparently common on the IS200 and they've done at least one other car with exactly the same problem). :Sulk:

I'm sure I remember reading about warped flanges on IS200s as well, can't remember if it was here or somewhere else.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Cheers Ormi, might sound stupid but I'd rather stick to OEM parts. Is the price right if it was all Lexus parts?
