update-just had a call from inspector type person-this is a civil matter as it happened in a private car park not on a main road-drivers involved in incidents on these types of areas ie supermarket car parks etc are not required to exchange details as it is a civil matter unless someone is injured - their suggestion was for me to pay my £3 and obtain the other guys address etc and sue him in the civil courts - so there you go guys no need to worry anymore if you accidentally crash into someone else in a car park - you can legally tell him to f**k off and drive happily off into the sunset

thanks guys -yeah i will be getting his details today via my £3 and paying him some attention - the police are prosecuting him for criminal damage still as this is their only option and is available to them because the first time he opened his car door onto my car could be called an accident but then when he did it repeatedly and tried to "push my car out the way" it became an act of intended criminal damage - doesnt really help me-they are also going to investigate his motoring offences getting to and leaving the car park as he may not have a full licensce and also possibly reccomend to dvla that he should be reviewed for fitness to drive - still no help to me but might prevent him causing mayhem elsewhere-some satisfaction there but too many maybes 4 me

To be fair though, that's the law. The usual highway laws don't apply in a car park unfortunately. As soon as you start any action he will probably be extremely keen to settle out of court with you !

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
