Yep. wondering the same myself...

I've had a nosey at his feedback for this item, and he seems to have sold 2 or 3 of them, all with positive feedback on the purchase. nobody complaining about fit or anything. Still a bit hesitant about the replica idea but from what I hear Toyota's basically shut down TTE, so might well be hard to get proper TTE bits!

ebay blokey seems to have plenty available, so I'll keep on the hunt for a wee bit longer for the real thing and go for this at a push if I can't find anything later. He also does the side skirts, rear valance etc, so if the bumper turned out ok, I'd probably go back for the other bits Smile

I think i read somewhere that he used OEM bumpers and just modifies the bottom end to look like TTE. So I believe installation will not be bad, but again I am not 100% sure.

TBH I'd probably try to find someone else and pay them to paint/fit it - I'd love the look, but terrified of messing it up Smile My hands were made for keyboards (I work in IT) rather than other stuff Smile

In any case, if I can't get a proper TTE in the next week or two, I'll probably go for it and see what comes of it - hate seeing my car with that dent in the front :'(

No problem mate. From his feedback a buyer wrote that it is a perfect fitment and good quality. Also he had a lot of positive feedbacks. Well we will find out soon.

I doubt TTE shutting down will affect the supply of TTE stuff. It's not like TTE would still have been making TTE bumpers for the IS200. There will be an existing stock and Toyota/Lexus should still be able to get them, I would have thought.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Copied this from TOC forum...

Quote:Don't panic everyone, the TTE website has closed down but TTE parts are not finishing (as far as one can tell) My contact at TGB says she still has access to the TTE database from her side, so whilst I might not be able to give an answer straight away, I will still be able to order TTE parts as soon as I obtain the part number

That means I don't get chance to stitch Gaz up.........just yet :naughty:

Can't promise what other dealers will do but I am still TTE Parts King :king:

Kingo

So if this is the case, perhaps another route to the genuine stuff? Smile
