Ok i maybe corrected but my understanding is there are two issues one is the carpets sticking under the gas pedal.
Second the hybrid models Toyota have a issue with working the abs with thier Hybrid that charges the car when breakin.

What is happening is when you apply your breaks hard and the abs come on the Hybrid continues to charge.
This should be a no no as when your needing the abs nothing should get in the way of the vehicle breaking system stopping the car in a safe way.

Ford cars that use system in the same way cuts out the hybrid system as soon as the abs breaks are applied.

Over to the Toyota techo boys who have been fixing this system and who are more up to speed than me.

The Hybrid issues are accross the Lexus and Toyota range.

Just as a point of note, Mazda have gone into the Hybrid market with Toyotas system not Fords but only in Japan for the moment, another nail in the coffin between Ford and Mazda.
