Bought some of this, seems to get excellent write ups on the various Rotary/RX sites.

Here is the official blurb.

Used as a liquid service tool, CATACLEAN will first clean your vehicles fuel system, improving cylinder fuel burning in turn giving better performance in catalytic and non-catalytic Rotary engines.

CATACLEAN also cleans the carbon away that builds up inside the rotor housings and on the Rotors potentially leading to sticking tips and apex seals and thus improving compression

We genuinely know this liquid works to help aid Rotaries through the U/K MOT test with RX-8’s that have failed the emissions test then passing after adding CATACLEAN to their fuel tank and returning the following day, thus saving the £1100 required to renew an RX-8 catalytic converter ,then it cleans the surface of the catalytic converter improving gas flow and reducing emissions.

Cheers

Sounds like good stuff mate, always good to have a clean engine on the inside and helps to keep them in good working order :thumbup1:

I saw this Cataclean on one of the shopping channels (I know, I hadn't had Sky before) and it did look quite good. Seems to actually do somthing which the others like Redx don't seem to do.

In the USA they seem to rave about this stuff called Seafoam. You put a third of the can in your petrol tank, a third in the crack case and you suck the last third up into the engine through the brake line booster. Leave it switched off for a few mins and then start it up. You get enormous amounts of white smoke. Some say it is the carbon burning away from your engine but I'm not so sure. Youtube it because it looks quite alarming.

Let us know how you get on with the cataclean as if it works I might shove a bottle into the LS. I'd hate to have to change the two pre cats and the one after if I didn't have to.
