have to say my bro didn't get banned for doing 108mph and being caught, although he did get points and a heavy fine. Fortunately for him the officer put in his statement that he was in a marked police car when infact it wasn't.

Pretty cool comment

When will the pompous gits realise that when the 70mph limit was introduced in the 60's this was the top speed of the average saloon. Motorways had a design speed of 100 mph and there was no speed limit, originally. The limit was introduced because some wally went up to Watford Gap at 160mph in a Cobra and the other wallies in Parliament heard about it and had their customary kneejerk reaction.

tbh garyskip i think you have hit the nail on the head - these days the petrolheads seem to join the police force and aim to join the "interceptors" where they get to enjoy the thrills of high speed chases but dont have to pay the petrol or insurance - in many ways they really are the modern equivalent of fighter pilots, they even get little nicknames just like on topgun:laugh:

Was reading thi in the paper and the reason guy got away with this is he was doing 80- 90 when the scooby came up behind him, he pulled over then the scooby did and keep backing off and booting it up behind him so he put his foot down thinking the scooby wanted to play.
