well a few silly little issues really, previous owner had done a DIY de-cat so that rattles like a *****, the exhaust is a bit home made it goes from 4" to 2" then back to 4" and i think its gotta airflow meter problem (not a MAF, cos they dont have them apparentley !!!) so its not running right.

it seems very down on power and restrited but im getting it diagnosed next week.

That exhaust must of been harder to make than a straight 4"
having said that wouldn't having 4" exhaust make it run **** anyway???

At least I know tho that it's not my old car you've got Smile
but then if it was you wouldn't have these issues
hope u get it sorted mate.

a maf is an airflow meter it stands for mass air flow meter it is a hot wire type on an altezza as far as i know. you should be able to get one from toyota.i have also got problems after fitting a decat and exhaust but its all 2 1/2 inch pipe all the way through, feels like a fuelling problem between 2000-3000 rpm.havent really got round to looking into it much.

Sorry if this is something you've tried already, but how about cleaning the MAF sensor ?

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

if you put the car into 6th gear and let the revs drop to 2000rpm and then floor it. If the car doesnt pull smoothly and starts chucking you'll need a maf. The car should smoothly (but slowly) increase in speed if the MAF is ok.

Clean the throttle body aswell :thumbup1:
