Drive flanges - what are they?
Drive flanges - what are they?
Tony told me that if I want OEM parts it might be cheaper to get them myself so I got in touch with Lexus Poole who offer discounted parts over the other side to see how much they could do it for.
However they've got back to me saying they're not sure what parts I need and they've never heard of what I'm talking about happening so can someone (like Ormi :thumbup clarify which bits I need to replace? I will ask Tony but seems easier if someone knows the Toyota parts to give me the exact part numbers.
This is what they sent me:
So what do I need to order?

I think that's what they're referring to as the flange - i.e. the hub. It does have a flange on it.
Those numbers on the diagram aren't proper part numbers though. What they equate to is part 43502-22080.
Just out of curiosity, whats happened to yours?
I think you were going to get the wheel bearings as well, weren't you ?
SHAHZ Just out of curiosity, whats happened to yours?I've had a recurring problem of warping discs, and this has now been pinned down to being caused by warped flanges.......:Sulk:

You could double-check with Tony, that by the "flanges" he means the hubs. Perhaps he's saying specifically that the flange on the hub is warped ? Which would mean you need a new hub.
