The best balance is probably 6000/6500K - it's a bit blue but still decent light output.
I used to have 8300K on mine, looks great as it's bluer but not quite as high light output.
I now have 5000K on mine as I wanted them to be as white as possible
6000K looks really good, 4300k is stock hid temp, 8000 imo is too purple...as Parth says the higher temp the lower the light output

6000K is a good compromise. But 4500/4300K will be even brighter.

8300K is not too blue to get pulled over, had them on the car for several years and never had a problem. I just swapped as I got tired of all the chavs with them on so didn't really want to be associated with any of that
