We are not Europeans, how can we be?

It's a load of rubbish, albeit rubbish that seems to have spawned 1000 Facebook groups (not dissimilar to the "Facebook is going to start charging after [random date]" groups - similarly made-up nonsense).

The council were apparently worried about it "inciting racism"... even the Americans are allowed to fly their own flag in their own gardens...

I can understand the request on football shirts, mostly - rival team fans can kick off (as anyone in Glasgow can tell you), but for the likes of the world cup the vast vast majority of fans in the pub will all be supporting the same team... As the article says their advice wasn't meant to apply to England shirts, they probably just meant the league teams etc
