ok ill give everyone a link of the speed cams just over the border in the 80km zone tomorrow. they have hidden one in the tunnel.

the cams here are very small, and dark green. wont matter much really but if u return in the future they have ANPR at the main borders and will stop you.

actually look on pistonheads swiss forum and i have made a post about it there with pics

you can buy them at the border TBH it takes about 1 minute there is a special lane and they have someone standing there with a book of stickers and a change machine.

it costs 40 CHF.

if you want to do it online this is the link for the official travel office of switzerland that linked above.

but look on ebay for a 2010 vignette.

dont bother with bulb deflectors, no one does really but there is always the chance they might ask u about them at the border. have a warning triangle and keep it in the car not the boot, they are funny about things like that.

for speeds just stay with the normal flow of traffic, max of 130kmh in 120 zones. dont speed in towns as radar traps are common.

Are you coming on the french highway into basel or the german one?? what sort of time in the day and i assume you are coming in on the 13th??

good price.

ok the german border is even better than the swiss one,

1 thing to be aware of is when approaching the border there may be a huge row of trucks on the 2 inside lanes..

DO NOT wait in line behind these, just pass them and continue to the border, the trucks are waiting to enter the customs inspection.

And remember the speed cameras as i posted earlier.

there is a small cafe/petrol station at the border also.

petrol is cheaper in switzerland BTW.

Rabster :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:

Is there ANYWHERE that's more expensive than here?

Sorry , that was a bit off topic!

I can't do this trip this year but maybe next year if it's done again... :thumbup1:
