Evening all. I hope you all enjoyed the glorious weather we've had today.

I'm looking to replace the stereo in the Honda as it's only a tape player, with somthing a bit more modern and iPod compatable. I don't want to use Halfords as I've recently had a few problems with them and to be honest, no one seems to have a clue what they are on about. Could someone recomend a company near Harlow that supplies and fits head units? As per most cars nowadays, it will need a new facia panel and reading in the Haynes manuall I have recently purchased, I don't feel confident enough to start taking it all apart to do it.

Many thanks.

Jim.

Jim im not far from harlow so if you want a hand fitting it give me a pm, as for a shop car audio centre are fairly cheap they are down near gants hill or i think its paragon in chelmsford direction. although what ever head unit you like the look of have a look online at some retailers as it will probably be cheaper plus you can print it off then haggle with the store in person lol

Rabster, your a star. I will have a look on tinternet and see what I can get. It is a big job as most of the dash has to come out according to the haynes manuall. When I had the one in the Micra changed, the A piller covers, door seals and the top of the dashboard had to come off. Gone are the days when changing a stereo in my old Cavalier was a ten minute job. Will give you a shout when I've picked one up and thanks again.
