Tango Don't you have a gas torch? It's easy enough to do the job properly with a few pre-soldered fittings and copper pipe.

Cool that's what I needed to know, now I just need to make sure the pipe is long enough to get to where the tap will be
the tap kit is fine, and i have about 10 inches exposed and served no problems pressure is perfect, spray gun works fine when washing car.
much easier and cheaper then putting in a proper one, also there have a stop as the bit which it connects to the mains.
Cool, cheers mate, wont use the kit......the tap will be placed where the pipe goes outside so none will be exposed really.....got a few plumbing shops round here that i will get the tap from, unless you can recommend somewhere online for a decent tap/double check valve/tap for under sink
Marsdendean I would just use a tap under the sink.
Idea in a double check vavle, is incase you leave the hosepipe in a pond, and the water gets turned off and cut somewhere in the house, it can draw the pond water into the house. Never really happens, but something the WRAS say you have to do.
We use PTS as they are not too bad priced, and always give money off if you barter them down!
