Question What do the number mean on IP Address

Answer.
Every machine on the Internet has a unique identifying number, called an IP Address. A typical IP address looks like this:

* 216.27.61.137

To make it easier for us humans to remember, IP addresses are normally expressed in decimal format as a "dotted decimal number" like the one above. But computers communicate in binary form. Look at the same IP address in binary:

* 11011000.00011011.00111101.10001001

The four numbers in an IP address are called octets, because they each have eight positions when viewed in binary form. If you add all the positions together, you get 32, which is why IP addresses are considered 32-bit numbers. Since each of the eight positions can have two different states (1 or 0) the total number of possible combinations per octet is 28 or 256. So each octet can contain any value between 0 and 255. Combine the four octets and you get 232 or a possible 4,294,967,296 unique values!

Out of the almost 4.3 billion possible combinations, certain values are restricted from use as typical IP addresses. For example, the IP address 0.0.0.0 is reserved for the default network and the address 255.255.255.255 is used for broadcasts.

The octets serve a purpose other than simply separating the numbers. They are used to create classes of IP addresses that can be assigned to a particular business, government or other entity based on size and need. The octets are split into two sections: Net and Host. The Net section always contains the first octet. It is used to identify the network that a computer belongs to. Host (sometimes referred to as Node) identifies the actual computer on the network. The Host section always contains the last octet. There are five IP classes plus certain special addresses: I hope it helps!

Now don't say i dont give you useless infomation...

This is the so-called "IP version 4". The big problem is that it was designed a very long time ago, when it was never imagined that everyone would have a computer at home with an IP address, companies with thousands of IP addresses, phones, washing machines etc, etc. And they've nearly completely run out of addresses. Even though there are a few billion possibilities, as you say, the way they've been allocated (in large blocks) means they haven't really been used in an optimal way.

For some time now there has been a new "IP version 6", which gets over these limitations to give hugely more addresses. But the uptake has been very slow. Before too long perhaps there will be a mass movement to IP v6, and some Internet instability while that happens ? Who knows.

What is the largest ship?

Answer: The Knock Nevis was a massive ship, last used as a floating storage and offloading unit (FSO). She was previously a supertanker and was the longest ship ever built, as well as possessing the greatest deadweight tonnage ever recorded. Fully laden, her displacement tonnage was 646,642 tons,[6] the heaviest of any ship of any kind. For these reasons she was generally considered the largest ship ever built.[7][8]

When roaming the sea, the vessel had a fully laden draft of 24.6 m (81 ft), rendering it unable to navigate the English Channel, the Suez Canal or the Panama Canal when its load was up to capacity.[9] As a tanker she was known as the Seawise Giant, Happy Giant, and Jahre Viking.

In December 2009, the vessel was sold to Indian breakers and renamed Mont for her final journey. After clearing Indian customs, she was intentionally beached in India for ship breaking. She was photographed beached for scrapping at Alang, India, on 4 January 2010
