So to find out how good this is I am going to test a product that nearly twice the price called DoDo Juice and the one i am using is for dark cars.
I will be giving the car a polish later today and will tell you want results I have found.
I have always been a great Fan of Collilite 476 as it is a good product that does not cost the earth but gives a very good finish

It is adviced to wash and clay your car before adding a wax this get the paint work clean before you add you wax.
However you may need to remove some swirles from your paint work this takes up the most time, i use a product from the Poor Boys Range for this please appy this before the wax.
This how you use this wax.
Apply Dodo Juice waxes sparingly, either by hand or with a foam applicator pad hard waxes don't spread as far and are best applied with a pad. Apply panel by panel, allowing between 5 and 15 minutes for the wax to cure and haze over (this depends on the wax and ambient condition). a great test to see if the wax is properly cured is to place your finger on the waxed area and move it away and to the side in a single motion; if the wax feels 'grabby' it is cured and ready for buffing off. If it feels 'greasy' or slightly wet then the wax requires more time to fully cure. Make sure to test a smallish panel first to get an idea of the time required for curing in your current conditions to know how many panels can be waxed at a time. Don't leave it too long on hot panels or the wax can 'cake' on. Then buff off with a clean microfibre. Apply additional layers after 30 mins to an hour (to allow the previous wax layer to cure) although if you have a clean garage, a delay of 24 hours is ideal.
Once you have applied the wax then look to add a finishing gloss to get that show shine to your car.
Wax on your car protects the paint work and allow you to add finishing product on to your vehicle and give the best possible finish.

16-04-2017, 12:33 AM #5Which one did you get ? Dodo Juice wax is pretty highly rated. They do both soft and hard waxes, is it the Blue Velvet one (which is hard) ? They also do Purple Haze, also for dark-coloured cars, which is a soft wax.

Think they recommend applying the hard waxes with a pad, but the soft waxes by hand. I seem to remember that Moley used soft Dodo Juice wax on his car, applied by hand.

Think they recommend applying the hard waxes with a pad, but the soft waxes by hand. I seem to remember that Moley used soft Dodo Juice wax on his car, applied by hand.

Not totally sure you will see a difference in the products, the coloured waxes can appear to have filling abilities when first applied with regards to light swirls. But this is simply due to a dark wax being applied to dark paintwork. You will find that once fully cured, any remainning wax that appeared to 'fill' a scratch/swirl that has not been buffed off, will turn a whitey yellow colour.
What you will notice is how nice the Dodo smells compared to 476
but then i quite like the 476 smell anyway, then again i like the smell of petrol to 
You will however notice that the Dodo will not have as much durability. The purple haze pro would last longer due to some sealant properties within, but still not 476 long.
476 is one of those waxes that some people tend to disregard because it doesnt cost £100. It is a good product, however can slightly mute metallic flake on some finishes, but dont get me wrong, the dodo waxes are also very good.

16-04-2017, 05:01 AM #10The Dodo waxes are easy to apply and remove, but i find the 476 very easy to, however some people find it a nightmare. They are simply leaving it on too long, appllying to thick or applying it in too warm conditions. I agree that once it gets to the stage of being hard to remove, it really is very very difficult so keep an eye on it whilst curing.
