Does anyone know or remember what year LennyLexus's (from the other side) IS is/was? and what year did they do the chrome tipped back box not the cover but the tip you can polish up?
Cheers.
Think it is a 2001 but not 100% on that, raz has got a custom made dual exit on it now, so may still have the original zorst, he's not really been around for a while, but if you want me to find out I will drop him a line
I've got the original zorst off it mate from when Lenny had twins done at Blueflame, just wondered if it could be cleaned up or not?
It's definitely around 2001 - I think it was at the same point that the major upgrade happened but things like the stereo changed just before that so can't be absolutely certain.
It should be fairly obvious though I think if it is a chrome one, I barely clean mine and it looks pretty decent
It's in my father in-laws garage so will have to pop over and have a look, cheers chaps.
Wire wool and scourers  I make the tesco man run past the car if I have bought scourers incase they even think about scratching the car ... what happened to good old (and the midlife crisis posters amongst you will know ) fashioned elbow grease lololol
Seriously, don't scourers scratch ?
You should never use wire wool on chrome, you'll just take the chrome layer off and then be left with bare metal, which will be shiny but not for long!! Then your chrome thing will end up looking like my crappy wheel nuts.
Some scourers are alright, but it depends on how abrasive they are. Obviously not brillo pads! It depends what you're cleaning as well - chrome should only ever be cleaned with chrome cleaners as it's a thin layer on top of the metal. Autosol is plenty abrasive enough for stainless.
Thanks guys wouldn't use anythin like wire wool or scourers just good old fashion polish and hard work, I have a mate who tried to clean his car with a scourer after some kids drew on it, not pretty let me tell you it took me ages to get the scratches out:glare:
Marsdendean ^^ Wire wool removed most of my dirt, as it had not been cleaned in 5 years, then then washed the final bits off! Worked for me!
