ahh. Sounds good Smile. If you want the tv to be HD , make sure its FULL HD, and not HD Ready. (Hd Ready isnt as good i dont think). Unless they have changed the way they advertise them again....

well my budget isn't very high, I hadn't thought about gettin a ps3 so i'd given myself a budget of £350 for a tv, but that was assuming decent ones would come down by the time I had the money, which they are doing,

so i've been looking at Samsung and LG full HD and they seem to be about £400, the LG boasts pc input but the Samsung has vga input, does that mean I can still connect a pc? I think both come with 3 hdmi sockets and other random stuff, I know HD ready doesn't mean full HD, but I believe contrast ratio can be measured differently between different brands

Marsdendean so no do PS2 games?

The way i look at it is, is if you have a HD tv, i would probally never play a PS2 game again!

True but if like me you want to learn the track at the Nurburgring and have a PS3, the only game that has the track that I know of is GT4 which is a PS2 game and I can't play it!! GT5 Prologue doesn't have it and not sure if the full version of GT5 will ever be released! Sad

Wish I still had an Xbox360 with Forza!

my brother had a similar issue, as he bought a 60gb so he could still play the (at the time) current GTA games and his now rare copy of the Getaway (with the bt logo still on the vans) and now he can't play it as his ps3 went faulty and could only be replaced by an 80gb

I have a 40Gb PS3 for sale,
2 controllers with charge cable,
HD lead,
GT5 Prologue,
Need For Speed ProStreet,
Fifa 08,
Rachet & Clank: Tools of destruction.
All boxed, only reason I want to get rid is I don't use it anymore. Only used it for the BluRay player which we now have in a media centre PC so it's just collecting dust now.
I'll pop in the box Stealth and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, both on BluRay.

£200.00 delivered.

sorry for the late reply, didn't notice there had been replies despite using the nedw posts button everytime I log in

i'd completely forgotten about this and bought newI just got the 80gb one with gta4 and terminator bluray for £293 from HMV

they do a loyalty thing so I got 29,300 points for my brother, i'm not sure how much discount that gets him towards his next purchases but he already had 29,300 points from when he bought his own
