the rear tyres might not of need failed, the legal measurement is taken from the centre 3 quatres of the tread, if thats above 1.6mm its legal ,providing the inner bold edge isnt showing any cord! hope this helps. the rear of the is has toe for sure and i think camber, you need a proper 4 wheelalignment not just a tracking.

You know it makes me cry when I see stories like this on here.:crying:

I take my car to a little garage a couple of hundred yards up the road from me. They would of just given me an advisory on brake disks knowing that I would change them within a couple of months. These places that other people take their cars to just seem to be such a rip-off.

I know time is short now so you've got to get this done but I'm sure in future if you knew about things like this sooner there is enough people on here with enough knowledge and experience to talk you through or show you how to do this sort of work yourself; the Lexus really is very easy to work on.

I have been searching the forum and there does seem to be a shortage of walk-throughs on here. I am intending to post some details on here as and when I have to do these jobs on my car. I have just painted my callipers (rear only at the moment) and stripped the brakes down to do it so I intend posting up some details in the near futures.

As I said these cars are a dream to work on and it pains me to see people struggling and having to pay extortionate prices to get these simple jobs done.
