Post Spell Checker
Now I am probably gonna get stick for this... I am already known as the spelling police on another forum
Some of the posts on here are verging on illegible. I actually had to reread one 3 times yesterday to work out what the OP was trying to say! I guess they are written in a hurry or by people that aren't paying attention but it really grinds my gears! Surely there must be a nice aspell (or similar) plugin for vBulletin?
Then we just need a grammar checker... correct punctuation is free you know!
Don't all browsers have a spell check in them now? I know google chrome does (although weirdly it's put a red squiggly line under google!)
Clearly not, judging from all the posts we get on here
IE8 certainly doesn't, in Firefox it's an addon isn't it? The only reason Chrome does is because they 'borrowed' webkit from Apple and Safari has had a spellchecker in it for ages.
Besides, doing it forum-side is the right way of doing it, you don't have unreasonable expectations from your client device that way.
good idea, would lile to see this feature, have some rep mate:thumbup1:

Well if it was not for spell check you would not be able to read any of my posts !!
Or if I typed in Scottish you would have no chance
I'd be fine with your local dialect Moley
I already have a spell checker addon in the version of Firefox that I use, so doesn't bother me too much.
What I do dislike is txtspk online/in emails - one thing if you are limited to 160 chars in an SMS message and using a tiny phone keypad, but when you have a full keyboard/no limit, can't we all just spell words out properly? </rant>
