well my score is no 985 as of today, dont think i can get better,

but yet I got declined on a barclarycard? and a 30 per month t-mobile contract? what the hell is going on, checked my credit report and no adverse information?

rang credit expert up, they asked me to ring back when they have the info on both applications and be able to tell me whats going on....

seriously a mobile contract? what hope do i have when it comes to mortgage time?

Maybe having too high a score is a bad thing?

Like insurance companies, most of these financial institutions have underwriters who can't actually think for themselves or apply any common sense. They have to work on a points system. You'll get / or lose points for your age/job/locale etc etc etc .. and regardless of the practicalities of your situation you lose out. They also have targeted numbers of agreements with certain criteria to hit or avoid and even if you score the right amount of points you can still lose out because they have enough of your particular category this week. It sucks!

update, went to HSBC and closed down all my account with them as I dont use them, including a joint one with my wife.

Spoke to TSB who are happy with my account activity and no external influences would affect my applications to them.

Just need to clarify with T-Mobile on why they refused me, but they want a letter from me. crazy

going to speak to credit expert again and see what else they can suggesst

right kinda sorted, they was a slight mistake on credit experts systems in regards to my postcode which even i didnt notice, but still showed as the correct door number and street name, this caused alot of missing infor, thats where the 985 score came from,

now updated its 865, as alot of missed payments have appeared all of which are correct.

maybe this is why i got refused?
