Just a quicky do you still need to produce your log book for the MOT?

Have you ever had to do that? I don't think I've taken the V5 for an MOT.......

Yes mate I normally need my log book and old MOT but with it all being on computer now shouldn't need to take anything.

In the all the time I have been taking cars for MOTs (10 years) I have never needed the V5 apart from the car and the cash.

I remember back in 2000 (ish) if I was having a MOT done a few days early, I would take the old MOT with me so the new MOT could start from the date the old one expired but that was it.

As others have said, have never taken the V5, and only need the old MOT if you're going early so that it will start on the same date as the old one. Now that it's all electronic and I have it done at Lexus (so they know when the last one was) don't need to take anything, just the car and cash as Moley said :biggrin:

As others have said, have never taken the V5, and only need the old MOT if you're going early so that it will start on the same date as the old one.
