Hi all,

I've pulled apart my headlight, painted some bits, some bits remained chrome, but I have a small problem with detango. Some people here took the orange bit off, right? Now did you guys painted the bit inside (which is chrome) or did you leave it the way it is? I know I will need and orange bulb for that but my concern is that the bulb might not be powerful enough to light up if the suounding is black. If it's silver it could look pretty silly, but each with their own. My car is Silver metalic. So should I paint the inside of the indicator encasing or not?

Marsdendean Hi Hawk.

I just took the orange part out of mine. Mine is an 05 reg, so has the darker insides to the headlight.

Some people have got chrome bulbs, so you cant really see the bulb, but i just got a clear one, and it flashes a white / yellow but had no problems yet

Ok, so the indicator casing (where the light bulb is located) is darker? Wel I am wondering if i should go black (and never come back:laughSmile with silver bulb that will be orange when lit up.

Nope, just took all the silver off with very fine wet&dry paper, then Halfords Grey Primer (after masking off the top 1/2" of the chrome rings) followed by 3 coats of Halfords Satin Black.

Yes toxo is right.....PhillipsSilver Vision bulbs......front, side and rear indicators so there is no orange visible.
