These items are often advertised on eBay, often with impressive-sounding claims and feedback to back them up. However, please stay well clear and do not waste your money !

These items don't work. The electric superchargers don't do anything worthwhile, and the "chips" are usually just a resistor which tries to fool the car's ECU into thinking that it's colder than it is and feeding more air into the fuel mixture (but potentially damaging your engine in the process if it's not really cold).

Remember that if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't true ! Especially when it comes to eBay !

(by the way, things like vortex-inducing inserts for your induction also fall into this category)

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

I am thinking of fitting a pure oxygen cold air forced indution kit onto my Clio Sport , all I need to do is find and gain the confidence of someone who works in a hospital so I can get a large cylinder of surgical grade Co2 , then install it into the vehicle possibly sacrificing the passenger seat and feeding tubes through the bulkhead into the intake , this will in turn remove the need for an airfilter so no more expense there . The only issue I have is will the weight of the cylinder outweigh the power increase , I also think the fitment of my mums old ironing board to the rear of the roof to keep the car stable (Minus the legs of course and maybe smoothed a bit) I've been advised to remove all the protruding parts from the car first , i.e , wing mirrors , aerial , wipers as these will not be able to cope with the G's .

DJ Wozza I thought you could buy 10 of these, and get an automatic 150bhp increase at the flywheel ?

Seriously tho, good advice Stevie.
Anyone posting a genuine inquiry on OJC about this kind of tat will get a 7 day suspension for being terminally stupid :Chair:

anyone that ask should get :Shooting:
