the 1.5 was a very fast wee car,i thought about getting one before i got the lex...

ormi mate these cars are shocking you wont have any problems with it but slower than a week in jail(the old ones were quicker)!!!!!!!!!!put it this way aygo and yaris tsport side by side lights go green aygo stays beside the yaris all the way past 60!!!!!!!!!!reason i know........i was in the yaris!!!!!!!
oli not the same as the roadster!!roadster isnt dual vvti!!

Thanks for the info mate. Is the Aygo so fast? I though they do 0-60 in about 15sec, while the TS is a bit less than 10! Anyway, i am getting it for my wife. She is not a boy racer like me
. Also it is a 5D and this one of the reasons I am thinking to buy it. The Swift she has is a 3D and not very practical now that we have a young child.

I have read that they new 1.8 TS (the face lift version) has a new 6 gear box which makes it quicker from 0 to 60. I think around 8.5.

never trust the paper work!!!seriously they are really cracking cars no faults good on fuel etc just dont live up to the tsport name!!!!youll find that out when you take it for a drive....

Wow, I thought it sounded quite slow but not that slow! Sounds horrible!

Ok I have done a research on the net, and I have found that the Scion XD has the same engine with the 1.8 yaris. So this means i can get many aftermarket parts from USA for this car. hehehe. I am starting to like more the idea of getting this car. There are also a few SC options that raise the BHP to 190 at the wheels!!!

Weird, 6 speed boxes in smaller cars are normally slower to 60 than their 5 speed variants, as you usually have to do another gearchange (2nd to 3rd) to get to 60. That's why the 6 speed SMG MR2 Roadster is slower on paper than the 5 speed manual one.
Obviously larger cars with higher torque output are geared differently so are still able to do 60 in second but that's rarer on little cars, especially family oriented ones.

all the 1.8 tsports over here came with a six speed box it was only the 1.5's that came with the 5 speed...
