Come along to the Britcar 24hr motor race at Silverstone! See Astons, Porsches, BMWs, Integras, Civics, MR2s (!!), Moslers, Marcoses and TVRs compete in a 5 class GT style 24hr race (I think the only one in the UK). It's the race that Top Gear entered with Thorney Motorsport in their 3 series BMW, if you remember that. Tickets include full paddock access so you can go and wander around the pit area during the race!

For a limited time there is an offer on weekend tickets, £2.50 per person and £6 per car. See http://www.britcar24hr.co.uk/tickets/

I'll be there supporting Rogue's MK3 MR2 entry (with a cheeky 3.5 V6 Evora engine in it) and 24hr motorsport doesn't come much cheaper than this Big Grin

I went 2 years ago (the race wasn't run last year) and it was good fun.

I havent been to brit car for a couple of years now, since i helped pit for a bmw e36. Was a hectic few days, but so worth it. There is such a good atmosphere about the whole place, it really is a great weekend. Would be nice to get back there again and do some spannering, i just need to find a team that needs an extra set of hands

Just to be clear as well, these tickets give you full grandstand access, full paddock access, etc. It's not like F1 where everything is an extra charge!

No, it's still TBC. Which team was it, I might be able to find out? In 2008 I went with people who were spannering for Rogue and Topcats (who entered 2 cars, a Mosler and a Ginetta).

The team was TWC (Tilsley Wright Competitions) They ran the E36 and an ex BTCC MG ZS

It was in 2007, just found an old entry list.

The entry list is still showing as tbc on the britcar website but the entrants have now been given a list Wink

*5* Mosler MT900s!! (Mosler only made 40 something)
A 370z
Honda accord (??)
Honda Jazz Type R!
All manner of civics and integras
2 Mazda entries with as yet unspecified cars

Doesn't look like your mates are there this year Pete, however Thorney Motorsport (also known as the Top Gear technology centre) are there with 3 'TBA' driver slots listed Wink
