Double post alert

Hmm some of the comments are a bit daft,

but the website owner/developer Ali Sina has catergorically ripped Islam as a religion apart,

BUT

He has done it in a logical, methodical and non-violent way,

gets quite boring at parts but reading his debates with various Islamic Scholars is quite intruiging

Can you tell its a slow day at work?

DaveEdin Seems pretty hypocritical to me...

Some of the comments border on attempting to incite riots against people... I was sure the Christians preached infinite mercy (in general) rather than crusades...

I wouldnt be surprised if that was the plan mateConfusedad: ..........Christianity does mate along with Islam, funny that, those that are the most devout (to which ever religion it may be) are the the most peaceful and non confrontational people, its the minority that think they now better and make thier own rules as they go along:Chair:

Religion's just an excuse (as it so often has been throughout history) for power crazy people to try and grab more of whatever they want, be it followers, land etc...

Confusedhock: If we abolish all religion....

Hmmm... I still remember the look on that Catholic minister's face when he asked me my honest opinion of the church and I told him I thought his was probably the best funded and most well organised cult currently on the go...

Are not all religions cults of one sort or another?

Any organisation that has actively concealed the raping of children should be closed down and the perpetrators from top to bottom should appear in court.

Religions and their leaders are not above the law.

I hold alot of respect for people who follow religeon as it should be followed. It must take alot of self discipline and I imagine it would bring great fulfillment to the person who follows it. I myself am athiest and don't have a need to follow a religeon.

It is this kind of thing that worries the whatsits out of me and these are the kind of people/idiots who would love to have people like me burned at the stake, let alone another religeon's bible.

As far as I'm aware, any religeon is peacefull and it just goes to show, that no matter where you are in the world, there is always someone trying to hurt/kill someone.

Wise words Jim, it's unfair to blame religion. It's just people who want to cause harm and find an excuse to do it, some blame the government, some blame race, and some say their religion tells them to do it. At the end of the day these people just want to do it, the reasons are irrelevant.

And the point of religion isn't to dictate every action of your life, rather to provide gentle guidance for those that require it. It is this distinction that many miss, and creates the tension that causes the catastrophic events we all know.

I think the world would be a much better place without religion if im honest.

The website i posted has a great passage in it somewhere from the guy that created it where he is asked what religion he follows now he has left islam, his reply was...

"Since leaving Islam i have not joined another religion, i do not feel the need to associate myself with any sect of believers to prove to the world or my peers that i believe in god, I believe god is there, and will live my life how i believe god would want me to live it"

this to me sums it up completely,...........there are two theories of how the world was created, one is the big bang, one is a divine intervention of a larger being

the only issue ive seen with the latter theory is how the "story" of the larger being is portrayed, any nutter can claim to have been visited by god and giving a message,.....although not so relevant today except it extreme cults,.....i imagine back in the day if some whacko turned up screaming jibberish claiming to have been spoken to by god and if you dont follow these rules you will be condemed to hell, the majority would believe him

what we got to remember here is that Muslims burn islamic books including qurans instead of throwing them into a bin, so really what they doing is islamic

also heres a section from those very Qur'ans:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Merciful.
Say : O ye that reject Faith!
I worship not that which ye worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship.
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
To you be your way, and to me mine.

Which bascially states, your religion is urs, our religion is ours, we let you do whatever, and you let us do whatever.

Let these crazy people do what they want......

Why would a Muslim burn a Quran?

Sorry to show my ignorance!!

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
