Help With a Small Project
If its from the door light then how can I trace the wires without taking the door off.
I was also thinking from the interior light but that seems like hassle too.
Any help would be great!
PS im not the best with wires.
I want to put some lighting inside the car that comes on when the doors open and off when they close, where is the easiest place to get the live and earth to acheive this.

Taking a feed from the interior light is easy enough as is the door/door switch. Depending on the type of car your installing it in lol.

there is a thread detailing fitting led strips in the foot wells its the same theory for getting the power to make them come on as what you are wanting to achieve
best place the is the ignition barrel lamp that comes on with the car being unlocked and doors being opened,

Well the led ring around the ignition barel has 2 wires on it I think it's inside a green sleeving due to them being led lights they will only work one way round it is very easy to do mate even without the pics.
I think I have a pic from when I did mine let me have a look
