Gen 6 for breaking - but not by myself
Gen 6 for breaking - but not by myself
Evening guys
My Celica I've had for 5 years has (maybe) come to the end of it's life. I've loved the car to death almost literally and now I have to say a sad goodbye to it at the end of April as it's being replaced by the IS200 I bought the other week which is sat patiently waiting for me.
I never got to do what I wanted to do with the Celica due to not having the money at the time and a move to Spain then move back to England in the middle of my ownership.
I'm still driving it now because it's hard for me to say goodbye to it, but the MOT and tax are due in May and I can't put it through and as the job I now have sees me driving all over the UK I need to have a newer cars with a lot less miles to make sure I always get there.
The last thing i want to see happen to this car is it being scrapped as there's still life in it, although I'm thinking it might be better breathing more life into another.
I won't be breaking the car myself, I'd like someone to take it off me to break themselves, unless that person wants to fix it up.
1.8 AT.
Silver.
Supra style spoiler.
Lowered on Spax springs (40mm) and KYB shocks.
17" Kei RSS - a couple of minor scuffs and could do with cleaning an rechroming but easy to get back brand new.
Custom powerflow exhaust system - the sports cat isn't quite so environmentally friendly anymore though.
173k (Bought at 90k) - engine still sounds and runs perfectly well.
Just had the oil sump replaced with a brand new one and the garage advised me when fitting it there is a small hole in the oil cooler pipe.
The front bumper has a crack in it by the number plate when I hit a garden wall at less than 5mph in the snow instead of going into the back of another card stopped at the top of the hill.
Someone backed into the front drivers side panel when parked up at a mates, this panel had already been repaired when I was in Spain with it after this pole came out of nowhere.
The fuel filler cap cable snapped a couple of weeks ago, and the fuel filler pipe needs replacing.
When I list eveything like that it really does sound like it's on it's last legs, but when driving, it really doesn't feel like it.
Picture is of the car when I took it to Spain a couple of years ago in mint condition. Living in Spain financially crippled me and since coming back home I've never had the money to put back into the car if anything went wrong with it which has all happened over the last 12 months.
Please let me know if your interested in picking it up for a sensible offer.
(I've posted this on the Celica Club forum too)
