HID's
We have a dog car (2001 Honda Civic 1.4 se automatic :gay which isn't my favourite car in the world but it carts the dog around in air conditioned luxury.
However, it seems to be getting through two or three pairs of headlight bulbs every year. I'm getting fed up with changing them as I don't like getting mucky and also I have a lack of a tripple jointed elbow so going the HID route seems to make the most sense.
I had a set of HID's on my old Micra and they lasted over four years so I'm going to get the same set for the Honda but with it's appatite for headlight bulbs, would this be a wise idea? I can get a HID kit for about £130 so I'm happy enough with the price, I just don't want the kit to die after a few months.
Also, is it best to wire them directly off the headlight bulb wiring or is it best to run a live off the battery and bung a relay off the headlight wiring?
Jim have you seen this set on Ebay alot of members have used them in the past and they have just dropped the price so its alot cheaper tyhen the £130 and then you wont feel done if they blow
