08-03-2019, 12:07 PM #1i've cut my radio cable! dont ask why but ive cut it. i dont have enough cable now to work with and i dont know how to connect it back up. i tried just twisting the wire together, but the quality is AWFUL. are there any kits i can buy to splice/extend radio cable?
A standard radio or aftermarket.

08-03-2019, 12:26 PM #4its aftermarket, im not fussed about the stereo, i just need to get a connector back on my cable in the car. the cable is like a coax cable but the centre wire is much much thinner
Still use solder to re-connect, should be OK.

08-03-2019, 09:27 PM #5The only coax cable is the antenna? It does have a 12v+ feed along with it to power the radio amplifier.

when i open the cable first there is black rubber, then loads of orange wire, then a white plastic tube and in the middle of that, a very very thin hair like silver wire
