Having installed my new mp3/wma player stereo, im looking for a way to rip cd's that are continuous/gap-less so that they play continuous/gap-less off a cd?

Had a look about the net but nothing rock solid!

Head units got aux in but rather just burn a cd atm.

Any help appreciated.

Problem with what you asking is that many tracks these days have a silence at the end of the mp3 file and at the start.

only way i can think, would be a sound editing software, adding all the mp3s into one file, cut out the silences and rip as one mp3.

Sony Soundforge is good, but rather expensive, unless you can get it other means??!!

If there are no gaps on the CD then there shouldn't be any gaps created when you rip them? Is the ripping software you're using sticking gaps after the MP3s?

i use exact audio copy.
http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

it supports gapless, but isn't that user friendly if you're not computer literate. the web site forums are good for support.

Yeah the issue is not going to be the MP3 files having silence in them, it will be the time the head unit takes to change from one file to the next. Only solution is (as jomo has found) to have the entire CD as one MP3 file.
