Hi guys, tried to replace my rear speakers, but could not remove the covering. Help please.

You have to take the whole shelf cover out.

Take off both c pillars by unclipping them. Then you can force it out but it's easier if you take the whole rear seat out by pulling the both bench up to remove it. Then unbolting the back and lifting release it.

Long and annoying I know.

@ stav: I did all that, the thing would not budge. I could see what appears to be clips(4) two behind the speakers and two I could touch from the boot of the car, but just couldn't release it.

you have to use some force mate trust me.

take out the headrest and pull up and towards you

Thanks for the responses guys. Just to let you guys know, the reason the shelf wouldn't budge. It appears that the rear windscreen was replaced after an accident. The fitter bonded the shelf to the screen, what we had to do was cut away the material from the parcel shelf. So if any of you guys got a problem removing your parcel shelves this could be the problem. @ Stav I am still waiting for those gubbins :whistling:
