So I just tried to adjust my coilovers to lower it down a touch and the two bolts that you have to rotate are completely locked in place and wont budge (even when removed and put into a vice using a bit wrench!).

Anyone got any suggestions on what I can do to free these up?

soak them in wd40, or if there rusted try coca cola.

Leave them to soak then try again. you can try heating them but be careful you damage the shock inside the coilover.

give them a good spray, I tapped my c-spanners with a rubber mallet to break the initial lock. Just make sure you do it in the right direction!

Heating them wont help as their aluminium rings with steel shaft.

Speak to posty I gave him a set of monster water pump pliers, for adjusting the tte ones. Theyre the best way to adjust them as the c spanners can be lethal as they slip off.

Thanks for the advice folks, i'll give that a go when i get chance to take them off. Could do with stripping them and cleaning them + regreasing them properly.

hope your not adjusting the spring platforms????thats not how you adjusty the hight...what your messing with is spring preload...you adjust the whole body ie unbolt where it bolts on to the hub and move that part which windes up the body.

Ormi it depends on the Coilovers. The tte ones I had, that posty now has, we're adjusted via the spring platform as the body was one piece.

I don't even know where the spring preload bit is, they look different to other ones I've seen. I'll stick a picture up of them so you can see for yourself
