Hello,
The last two weeks i have an terrible annoying noise from left front of my is200, Its lowered with an KW v3 and i tried everything to get rid of it.. I disassembled the coilover and greased it in, I greased all of the bushings but after 2kms the noise just comes back. Now i think that its the steering rack thats broken? Anyone else had a problem like this? I have recorded the noise with my phone, Its a really squeeking, cracking noise. When i turn my steering wheels it almost makes me cry :p If you know what i mean.. and also when the car goes up and down.. This noise REALLY DOESN'T fit a lexus!

Please help!!

polyurethane bushings installed at the joints, instead of OEM ones? That sounds like classic poly-bush squeak.

bushings are a ball ache, as I don't think toyota sell just the bush. I have some poly bushes on the back of mine and I regret it immensely. The other option was have the hubs replaced though, so money dictated.

Ok, thanks. So the best thing that I can do is to search for some second hand arms? And see if the noise is gone then? poly bushes are not a good idea then? :p

if I was on track 100% of the time, I'd get polybushes done, but I would never put them in a road car. I'd post up in the IS200 section, you might get more answers!

Found something today! Hope this is a break trough :p I've put the lex on a bridge in the workshop to check everything again and when i pulled on my front left wheel i could move it up and down for 0.5 cm.. Conclusion -> "King pin" ? broken, so i ordered a set, left and right as the right one was starting to move also.. Hope this fixes the noise
