Key cases
Key cases
Howdy guys and gals
I have a bit of an issue with my car not wanting to lock when the weather is getting frosty (like all the time then!!) so I am assuming that a new battery is in order. However it would seem that someone in the past has decided to use super-glue rather than the supplied screw to keep it all together, which kind of scuppers me for getting in for a new battery without causing major damage. I also only have the one key so I dont want to be too violent with it.
I have seen on fleabay that you can get replacement casing for your key key case
the only problem is that I have 2 buttons on my key not the single button available here
So does anyone know if I just need to add an extra hole for the trunk button in that case and all will be well, or will I be better off getting a new key and having it programmed, as im going to assume I dont have a master key.
Thanks in advance
Pete
You will need to get the encoder out of your current key, then you'll have to get another one cut from a blank by the sound of it.
You should be able to find the 2 and 3 hole key cases on ebay, one of my mates bought one not so long ago so I'll ask him where he got it.
Thanks Jomo but my key has the buttons on the side like this

A few quick links. Not sure if the blade is the right size though...
