Rx8 summer toy
Well i dont know how long this car will last but for now its staying and im having a lot of fun with it so thought i would keep a log of my progress.
The car is a 231 model with full service history. Well looked after and with all the recall work done. started looking like this after a quick clean and polish.
So when i got her she started perfectly and ran perfectly. However she quickly started to take longer to turn over so seeing as the last service was a while ago i have gone a bit mad. She has had new coilpacks, uprated leads, colder plugs and today some more toys turned up
Decat pipe and new hks filter will pick up some oil tomorrow for an oil change and an air filter. Hopefully the rest if the exhaust will turn up tomorrow and i can get that on there.
Old cat off god this weighed a ton
Next up as you all know i like to customize my interiors a bit so treated her to smd bulbs inside and out and then colour coded the interior trim panels
Installed

Nice little additions on the interior.
Stix44 I'll be honest when I read "customize my interiors..." I cringed a bit but that looks really good! Very subtle, almost factory.

I have put off getting one for a while because of the horror stories etc but tbh the plugs coils n leads will now last 30k miles and only cost £100 the oil is £35 for 20 litres. Yes 20 litres!! And the filters cost nothing and it is an absolute joy to drive and wonderful place to be. Even with the front tires in desperate need of replacing i have yet to get any understeer and it is super planted. Very glad i bought it now.
Cant wait for the summer going to save for some coilovers the mazdaspeed bodykit and that will be it done i think until i decide to street port it and turbo it lol
Ross
The Mazdaspeed body kit is beautiful. Bridgeport it, doesn't need a turbo
Dark Samurai Bridgeport it, doesn't need a turbo

Instead of street porting it, add a secondary intake port, as well as making the standard port bigger, so more air + more fuel = more power. No need for a turbo!
