Hi all,

after changing the cambelt yesterday the car doesnt start - timing is correct.
main suspect is the crankshft sensor.

Can someone measure between earth and the 2 pins for the sensor and tell me if they have a reading - im not getting anything but the manual only gives measurements for pin to pin.

i cant upload photos but the sensor is the one behind the power steering pump and the plug is on the loom that goes between the engine and chassis on the LH side when looking at the engine from the front.

its the only lead that goes down behind the power steering pump, big grey connector, with 2 wires, 1 is pink the other is white.

Any assistance greatly appreciated!!!

When you changed the belt, may be a stupid question but you put the pulley with the cogs back on the right way?

I thought the side with the teeth went on first then the little washer thing on after to keep the belt on the pully.

My prob was a loose earth esrth terminal as seen in photo.

There was a lad who had prob with car cutting out with bumps... I cant find thread but someone should direct him to this and to take airbox off and check the two earthing points on the cam cover.
