Hope you never
need a fire extinguisher for your car , Halfords sell a 1kg for £30 , Lidl sell the same one for £8, and yes it is a proper one all stamped and approved
Useful if anyone lights up a ciggy in your car. Some might say that's over kill I say its ensuring the same mistake doesn't happen twice.
If you don't smoke and someone lights a cig in your car without asking, they deserve to be hit with the fire extinguisher, never mind it being turned on in their face! I smoke and I smoke in my car, but I would never dream of lighting up in someone elses car! We have two extinguishers, but then I've had a car go up in smoke before. Little XR2 I was doing up, friend of mine bodged the wiring for the fan as the switch was buggered. We'd just bought a manual switch for it and all the proper wiring and as we drove home, the speaker wire (I know!) he'd used to bodge the fan on melted and sent the whole thing up in flames. Mate of mine lost his show car to flames too, as he put the wrong fuse in for the heater.
Think I'll be getting a fire extinguisher for my car soon. Better to be on the safe side!
There's one in the Supra, after seeing that Skyline go up in front of our stand at Japfest the other year, its better to safe than sorry!!
Saved my life after a head on smash caught the focus alight while I was trapped in it. Thanks to bloke from the pub who just happened to hear the sound of the impact over the sound of the live band playing in the pub 50 yards down the road me and my friend are still here today.
I have one in the UTE the Skyline the 260z the Hyundai coupe and now the 200sx
Which type is the best though? Powder or AFFF?
