Hi guys. I've just received a blank flip key for my IS. Will be getting the blade cut during the week, but before I do and this may sound like a daft question but how do you split it??? Need to be able to split the key to transfer my internals over. It looks like it just prise's apart but it would appear that although I can do this with the majority of it, around where the blade connects to the case there is something else holding it together???

Thanks in advance

have you tried to push the button in so the button is in the barrel area and slip the button under the plastic so to release the key from the plastics first them slide the case apart

Sorted Smile There are two screws holding it together. One under the Lexus symbol and one under the denso sticker.

I've got the same key, had it for about 3 years now and it's still going strong, though the flip mech needs tightening. I broke one before the one I have now, which I carbon wrapped.

Might carbon wrap this one when I get home Smile
