Hi all,
I want to either supercharge or turbocharge my Zed. I know either option will cost about £7k-£10k plus including labour. Which do you think is the better option? A supercharger can run with stock internals (I think, don't quote me on it). A single or twin-turbo will require uprated parts (severe expense for a twin-turbo). So it's really a question of supercharger (Vortech etc) vs single turbo (HKS, STS etc).

What are your thoughts? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

the sound of a blower would push me towards that. both have pros and cons and people will argue till the end of time.

personally id set your budget and then work o-ut what you can get with it.

stavs right, i chose the charger route for the noise, it depends how much boost you want to run, you will potentially get more boost from the tubby but not the noises so, do you want mild boost and a roaring blower, or high boost and screams from the tubby and passengers?
its not the easiest choice to make but a fun one Smile

That engine will be big enough for a new tvs1320 Eaton blower. Much much better design, better thermal efficiency than a turbo and will keep intake temp low. Will also spin up to very high rpm. That is the route I would go, particularly with that budget.

So your tuckin 15's, that's cute but come back to me when you get some proper size wheels
