A bit about me:

My name is Chris and I have had alsorts of Jap machinery over the years as I am a die hard Jap fanatic.

Ive had 2 prelude vti's, 2 st205's, 2 scoobs, an evo 4 and an r33 skyline to name but a few.

I also compete in the Toyota Sprint Series with my ZZT231 Celica (TSport)

Howdy all!

Car: Toyota Celica ZZT231 Track Car
History: I needed a replacement track weapon which was around 200bhp and NA. I knew the obvious choice for this would be a dc2, clio 172, or ep3 etc. The Celica 190/T-sport is a really overshadowed car with a lot of potential so I decided to dive in a see what I could accomplish with one. I also wished to continue competing in the TSS.
Over the last 24 months the Celica has become more and more geared towards track driving, starting with non obvious modifications which would make it more accomplished. The very last thing I wanted to go for was power as this is again the obvious mod that everybody goes for first.
In 2013 the drivetrain was pretty much destroyed by an exploding clutch at the sprint series which resulted in an extensive overhaul. (spec to follow)
The car won 4 out of 5 of the rounds of Toyota Sprint Series in 2013, mixing it with 4wd turbocharged celica’s, and regularly finished just outside of the top 10, winning its class championship for 2013.

Spec:
Engine:
Se7en Motorsports Stage 2 Camshafts
Kaaz 1.5 Way Differential
Competition Clutch Ultra Lightweight Flywheel
Exedy 3 Puck Paddle Clutch
Hangar 111 GPAN3 Oversize Baffled Sump
K&N Panel filter with Derestricted Airbox Mod
Brooks Racing Developments Race front Engine Mount

Exterior:
Team Dynamics Alloys – very pretty – Road
Team Dynamics Alloys – Fugly – Track
Stickers (+100bhp)

Interior:
Semi Stripped

Chassis:
Meister-R Zeta-R Coilover Suspension
Avensis 295ml Discs
Avensis oversize Brake Calipers and Carriers
Black Diamond Predator Brake Pads
HEL Braided Brake Lines
Toyo Proxxes R888 Tyres
Whiteline Rear Anti Roll Bar
