Lightweight Flywheel - any advice
Looking into some new mods & this one is supposedly one of the best for the money. Could go to the States for one but with the exchange rate plus, shipping & tax may as well buy UK. So here is one of the best I found...

So to buy its around £435 with discount, but its the fitting I am not sure about. Dont think I would do this myself so its a gargae. Anyone got any ideas how long or difficult/easy these are to fit.
Also just order some SFS performance hoses (blue) for the Rex.
Have a look here of a Greek RX8 fitted with a Blitz supercharger

I've got a lightweight flywheel that will be fitted to my IS200 soon, though that's mainly to hopefully fix my juddery clutch, and the lightweight flywheel is a lot cheaper than an OEM one.
Surely the flywheel isn't going to make that much difference ? Or do they especially benefit rotary engines ? I'm asking out of ignorance here, I have no idea how beneficial they are for an RX-8.
I have read it will allow higher revs therefore allowing quicker acceleration to top gears ???? :confused1:, also the RX8 does judder a bit in lower gears so would help get rid of that too. Not really a lot you can do with the PZ as a lot comes as standard. So as Dimis says above apart from S/c or turbo there is a limited amount of small improvements I can make to OEM parts. Then again thats why I bought it so as I did not have to overly improve the performance........just cant help want to mod it though
